"A Study In Yarn" By Diann Fisher. A macro of the fiber of my Granny. Perhaps some may call me a romantic, but I cannot get over a parallel to our current environment of our world as I look at this crochette afghan that my grandmother whipped up in mere hours in her latter years of life. I see intricate details, many colors, precision, integrity, fray, disarray, blur, patterns, and even chaos. Interesting, maybe it is a message from my granny...slow down a bit...life is short. Take a good long look at reality around you and know what makes you secure and warm, what protects you from the elements around you. Snuggle up to all of what is right and good. Recognize that which is causing you to feel a cold emptinesss and regain control bringing the comfort and wisdom of that very fiber of your being to help warm those around you, just like granny's quilt. Regardless of the chaos, the precision, the colors, what matters is the warmth, the integrity and the beauty you bring to their warmth. God Bless the wisdom of Granny!
