"Bird of Paradise" by Diann Fisher (Strelitziaceae;Strelitzia) A burst of Summer color in the Fall. This beautiful tropical exotic flower Is so unique and interesting. Typical blooms are from Sept through May and originates from Africa. It is actually considered to be the symbol of the tropical flowers. The colors are so vibrant and the name is so befitting as you can truly envision a bird when you enjoy its beauty. It is also known as the Crane flower due to it's shape representing the beak and head plumage.
