Description
"Long Gone Never Forgotten" by Diann Fisher Long shall we live, bold and strong. Long shall we be remembered, so many years after we are gone. This grave drew me in and captured my attention. I will not name the PVT who is buried here, out of respect, however I will tell you he was born in 1804 and died in 1856. He was a PVT in Lesley's Co of FL MTD VOLS Indian Wars. It is a very old grave stone and the silk yellow daffodil flowers and aged patina copper pot which holds them, along with the aged American flag demonstrate the emotion and how this soldier is long gone, but never forgotten, after all these years. We can all only hope that we too are remembered long beyond the years we walk this earth on foot. Rest In Peace Pvt. God Speed.

Beautiful!

Thanks Sarah. Such an old gravestone and almost mysterious as to who put the flowers and flag at the marker. Touching.
