Just observing this bird and it's keen sense of awareness with eyesight 5-6 times sharper than a humans, their massive size and muscle structure makes one appreciate why the founding fathers selected this bird, above all others. This is truly an amazing bird. According to Wikipedia, they have a wingspan up to 7.5 feet, have a lifespan to 20 years in the wild and a flight speed of 75-99mph (diving). Amazing!
